- Dell Chief Predicts Android Will Come To Dominate Tablet Market
Michael Dell chief executive of Dell, which trades in the country as Dell Computers Malaysia says he believes that the market for tablet devices will come to be dominated by those that run on the Android operating system, eventually replacing Apple and its iPad at the top.
According to Mr. Dell, the market for tablet devices will come to resemble that of the smartphones where from starting from nothing Android has emerged as the dominant platform.
- Dell Experienced No Material Impact On Supply Chain From Japan Earthquake
The world’s second largest PC manufacturer Dell, which trades in the country as Dell Malaysia, says it has not experienced any material disruption to its supply chain as a result of the earthquake in Japan.
Dell’s global head of large enterprise and public sector business Paul Bell says the main impact of the earthquake on the company comes not from supply chain disruption, but rather lower demand for the company’s products.
